Purely Cloud Desktop has a dedicated print server at the data center and an IPsec site-to-site VPN connection to each office location. This allows users to print to the office printers remotely. If a user needs to print to a home printer, the printer will need to be installed on their local computer. Once the home printer is installed, Purely Cloud Desktop will use printer redirection to print to the user's home printer.
Printing via Office Printer(s)
The user's office printer(s) should already be set up and available for use on Purely Cloud Desktop. Printing via office printer(s) is the default and recommended printing method. If the user has trouble locating the printer, please email [email protected].
Printing via Home Office Printer(s)
Printing from home office through Purely Cloud Desktop is not the standard workflow. If there is a need for this process, please reach out to the management team for approval, and Purely Cloud can set up the redirection to print directly from Purely Cloud Desktop to the user's home printer.
Printing Remotely
Users have the ability to print to any mapped printers remotely as long as users have the proper permissions setup.
For example, a user can print to an office printer while the user is working from home on Purely Cloud Desktop.
